A new world open to me with my photography. Encompassing the beauty, colors, shading and lighting of what I see around me, I never noticed before photography.

I am fortunate, receiving extensive mentoring, helping me learn the fine techniques of photography. Learning has been an on going progress I am enjoying and plan to continue.

Using my Canon 40D and 7D along with assorted lens, filters and programs. I enjoy exploring, capturing images of scenery, flowers, nature, events, travels and people. Many of my photos are taken of our beautiful state, New Hampshire and surrounding New England states.

80th Laconia, NH World Champions Sled Dog Derby 2009 : I attended Laconia's Sled Dog Derby, February 14, 2009, always a fun event. Lakes Region Sled Dog Club The weather was cold, windy, sunny, did not deter large, spectators crowd. You can feel and hear the excitement the dogs experience when they are ready to race, the barking, needing to hold them back from taking off until the count off, they love racing!!! The dogs are well cared for, you can see the attachment the owners have for their dogs.

Birds, Wildlife : We notice wild turkey were back foraging for food, all 28. Because of deep snow, the turkey were starving. We decided to feed the turkey until they can find bare ground to start feeding again after checking with a site about wild turkey. We have grown very attached to them as you can tell viewing my images of my flock..it will be hard once we will stop feeding them but feel great they survived one of NH's record snow, winters.
